What is this series about?
ADHD is complex, and understanding it goes far beyond just knowing the basics. This 8-week LIVE ONLINE series is designed to help you dive deeper into your ADHD, exploring how it affects different areas of life—from medication and hormones to the nervous system and RSD.
Each session will be a mix of education, discussion, and Q&A, giving you practical insights and a supportive space to ask questions and connect with others who get it. Whether you're newly diagnosed, still figuring things out, or looking to refine your understanding, this series will give you the knowledge, tools, and confidence to navigate ADHD in a way that works for you
Here’s the lineup of events:
Please note all dates are Wednesdays 6-8pm via Zoom
Week one - 5th March: What is ADHD?
Whether you’re new to ADHD or looking for a refresher, understanding the foundations is always valuable. In this session, we’ll break it down in a simple, accessible way while also exploring the nuances and crossovers with other neurodivergences.
Together, we’ll deepen your understanding of ADHD, explore how to explain it to others, and create space for questions. There will be a Q&A at the end for anything you'd like to dive into further.
Week two - 12th March: Medication
In this session, we’ll explore ADHD medication—the different types, how they work, and their potential benefits and challenges. Whether you’re considering medication, already taking it, or just curious, this is a space to gain clarity and ask questions.
You’ll also have the opportunity to share your thoughts, concerns, or experiences in an open and supportive discussion. Q&A at the end.
Week three - 19th March: Hormones
Hormones play a significant role in how ADHD shows up for us. In this session, we’ll explore how different hormonal shifts through the monthly cycle, pregnancy, perimenopause, and menopause can impact ADHD symptoms.
You’ll gain deeper insight into these connections, helping you better understand your experiences. There will also be space for questions and discussion at the end.
Week four - 26th March: Dopamine & Brain stuff
Dopamine is talked about a lot in relation to ADHD—but what does it actually do? In this session, we’ll break down how dopamine works, why it’s so important, and what we need to know to better understand ourselves and our ADHD.
While dopamine is the main focus, we’ll also touch on other key neurotransmitters like serotonin. As always, there will be a Q&A at the end to dive deeper into your questions.
WEEK BREAK - (Time to reflect, process, and catch up!)
Week five - 9th April: Nervous System
What exactly is the nervous system, and why does it matter for ADHD? In this session, we’ll explore how the nervous system works, how it connects to ADHD, and why understanding it can be a game-changer for self-regulation.
We’ll also look at ways to support and regulate your nervous system in a way that works for you. Q&A at the end for any questions or insights you’d like to share.
Week six - 16th April: ADHD Tools
Understanding ADHD is important, but what about practical tools to support everyday life? In this session, we’ll explore a range of strategies to help with focus, energy management, and emotional regulation—so you can find what truly works for you (and save money on books and programs!).
Follow along, take notes, and discover tools to try out for yourself. Q&A at the end for any questions or insights.
Week seven - 23rd April: RSD (Rejection Sensitive Dysphoria)
Rejection Sensitive Dysphoria (RSD) is a deeply emotional experience that many ADHDers face—but what exactly is it, and how does it show up in daily life?
In this session, we’ll explore the impact of RSD, how it connects to hormones, medication, and the nervous system, and what can help manage it. Q&A at the end to dive into your experiences and questions.
Week eight - 30th April: BONUS TRAUMA INTRO
ADHD and trauma often go hand in hand, and it’s important to understand how they intersect. In this session, we’ll explore the connection between ADHD and trauma, what trauma can look like for ADHDers, and why the challenges we’ve faced—feeling different, being shamed for forgetfulness, and constantly proving ourselves—go beyond just needing better tools or medication.
This session will set the stage for deeper exploration, and if you’re interested, I’ll also be running a Trauma Series for those wanting to go further into this work.
